Pelangi: A Beautiful, Elegant Script Handwritten Font

It started with a candle—specifically, the label for my new lavender-vanilla soy candle. I’d sketched the name “Haven Light” in pencil on scrap paper, then opened my design software, scrolling through dozens of script fonts. Most felt too bold, too bouncy, or too fragile to hold up on a 2-inch round sticker. Then I loaded Pelangi, and everything softened—just right. That’s when I knew: Pelangi is a beautiful, elegant and thin lettered handwritten font, and it doesn’t just look lovely on screen—it breathes life into real handmade products.

Pelangi for Wedding Invitations and Elegant Branding

I tested Pelangi across three wedding stationery pieces: the main invitation suite (printed on cotton cardstock), a welcome sign for the ceremony space, and delicate vellum belly bands for favor boxes. As a Script Handwritten font, Pelangi brings quiet confidence—not flashy, not fussy, but unmistakably intentional. Its thin, graceful strokes translate beautifully at 24–36 pt sizes, especially when printed with soft-touch foil or letterpress. For branding, I used it as the primary display typeface alongside a clean sans serif (like Montserrat Light) for body text—creating instant visual hierarchy and emotional warmth. Because Pelangi is designed as a premium Fonts asset, it includes subtle ligatures and alternate characters that elevate even simple phrases like “Mr. & Mrs.” or “Forever Begins Here.” Just remember: avoid using it for full paragraphs or legal disclaimers—it shines brightest as a display font, not body copy.

Pelangi for Candle Labels, Product Packaging, and Boutique Tags

This is where Pelangi truly surprised me. On matte-finish kraft labels (1.75" x 2.5"), the fine hairlines held up crisply—even after running through my Cricut Maker’s fine-cut setting. The key? Using vector outlines (not rasterized text) and setting cut lines to “cut edge” rather than “centerline.” As a Script Handwritten font, Pelangi’s elegance reads as *hand-applied*, which aligns perfectly with small-batch, artisanal packaging. I paired it with a minimalist serif for scent descriptions (“Lavender • Vanilla • Cedar”) and kept all product info legible without competing. It works equally well on sticker sheets (tested on glossy vinyl and removable matte), glass jar tags, and folded box inserts—always reinforcing a cohesive, elevated brand identity. Just avoid scaling it below 14 pt for physical labels; the delicate terminals begin to blur in print or cut.

Pelangi for Printable Wall Art, Planner Pages, and Digital Downloads

For digital creators, Pelangi is a quietly powerful tool. I built a set of printable quote cards—“Breathe,” “Begin Again,” “Softly Does It”—and embedded Pelangi as outlined vector text (not live font) so buyers wouldn’t need the font installed. Because it’s a high-quality Fonts file with OpenType support, I accessed stylistic alternates to vary the lowercase ‘a’ and ‘g’, giving each card unique charm. On planner pages, I used it sparingly—for weekly headers and section dividers—not daily journal prompts—letting its handwritten authenticity anchor the layout without overwhelming function. When previewing listings on Etsy or Creative Market, Pelangi adds immediate perceived value: soft, intentional, human-made. Bonus: it renders cleanly on mobile previews and social media thumbnails, thanks to its generous x-height and open counters.

Pelangi for T-Shirts, Tote Bags, and Merchandise Design

I screen-printed Pelangi onto organic cotton tees and linen tote bags—and yes, it worked. But only with smart execution. At 48–60 pt, the thin strokes stayed crisp under medium ink opacity. I avoided halftones and opted for solid fills, and always ran a test print on fabric swatches first. As a Script Handwritten font, Pelangi feels personal and tactile—ideal for boutique merch where customers connect with craft, not mass production. For larger signs or wall decals, I scaled it to 120+ pt and added a 0.5 pt stroke in matching color to reinforce readability from distance. Pair it with a sturdy geometric sans (like Poppins Bold) for shop signage—Pelangi handles the heart; the sans handles the clarity. Note: don’t use it for dense product care instructions or multilingual sizing charts—stick to its strength: expressive, short-form typography.

Pelangi for Quotes, Posters, Logos, and Social Media Graphics

That first “Haven Light” candle label? I reused the same Pelangi treatment for an Instagram quote post—“Stillness is where magic begins”—and got more engagement than any grid post that month. Why? Because Pelangi carries mood like few Script Handwritten fonts do: calm, refined, unhurried. It’s ideal for quote-based printables, seasonal posters (think “Cozy Season” or “Hello Spring”), and logo lockups where you want warmth without whimsy. In logo design, use it for wordmarks only—not icon integration—and always pair with a strong secondary typeface for taglines or URLs. As a commercial Fonts license, it covers unlimited personal and commercial use—including templates, SVG files, and physical goods—so long as you’re not reselling the font file itself. Before finalizing, double-check included file formats (.OTF/.TTF), language support (it covers basic Latin), and whether swashes or contextual alternates are accessible via your design app.
